CBC to broadcast this summer's FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament

We are excited to announce that this summer’s FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament scheduled for June 29 - July 4 at the Victoria Memorial Arena in Victoria, B.C will be aired on CBC and streamed on DAZN. CBC will broadcast the tournament over its various television and online platforms, giving Canadian basketball fans a chance to support their Men’s National Team from across the nation.

The potential NBA player-laden Canadian team will try and punch their ticket to the Olympic Games for the first time since Steve Nash helped Team Canada qualify for the Sydney Games in 2000.

“All six nations are coming to Victoria with the goal of securing an Olympic berth so the stakes will be high and we expect to see some tight, hard-fought games.” Said Clint Hamilton, Chair of Friends of Victoria Basketball. “It's exciting that the CBC will be broadcasting the tournament so fans across the nation can support our Senior Men's National Team from coast to coast to coast."
